East Midlands Makes Green Growth Freeport Bid

An East Midlands bid for Freeport status has been submitted to the government today by a consortium led by the two Local Enterprise Partnerships that represent Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, Leicester, and Leicestershire.

Leicestershire Business Voice (LBV), the voice for local businesses, has appointed Robin Pointon as its new Chair. Robin steps up from his previous position as Vice-Chair of LBV and is also Managing Director of Leicester-based specialist sustainable transport consultancy, Go Travel Solutions.
