LBV Director joins LLEP board

Neil McGhee from Leicester company, Sempervox is a new LLEP board member

LBV Director, Neil McGhee, has been named as one of three new board members at the Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership (LLEP).Neil, who is also a director at Leicester-based digital technology company, Sempervox, joined the 15-member board that includes eight from the private sector, city mayor Sir Peter Soulsby, the leader of Leicestershire County Council, two district council leaders, a vice-chancellor of one of the three universities, a principal of a further education college and a voluntary and community sector representative.

Neil comments: “As an owner of a Leicester-based business, I am keen to grow an environment that encourages the development of digital and technology skills in our area.

“I am an Enterprise ambassador at my local college – building stronger understanding and working relationships between business and education, and I am now privileged to be a governor. I want to use these experiences and 40 years in business to help us to create a vibrant economy and society.

“I believe that through the work of LBV and the LLEP, we have a powerful platform in place to support local businesses.”

Jane Cowley Chair of LBV adds: “At LBV, engagement with our stakeholders is of paramount importance as it enables us to ensure that the views of our members are heard. This appointment allows LBV to play an influential role in decision making at LLEP.”
