Join us for LBV’s upcoming event from 12-2pm on Thursday 17 November 2026, kindly hosted by LBV member, Nelsons where Paul Mount, Agent for the East Midlands from the Bank of England, will provide an update on the UK economy.

Paul is an experienced economist and financial analyst whose career has spanned the civil service, the National Health Service, management consultancy and investment banking. He has experience of working in several sectors of the economy, including transport, energy, telecoms, health and education.

As we move through 2026, the UK economy continues to navigate a changing and uncertain economic landscape. Paul will discuss the Bank of England’s outlook for the next 2–3 years and what this could mean for monetary policy, covering key themes including economic growth, employment, inflation and interest rates, with an opportunity for questions from attendees.
