Beer, Carols and Pies
When: Tuesday 17 December 2019, 6pm-8pm
Where: The Exchange Bar (opposite The Curve), Leicester
Have a drink, sing some carols (with brass ensemble supported by the Church of the Martyrs), and eat a pie or two.
We’ll also be raising some funds for Give Leicester to support local rough sleepers.
Entry is free (beer and pies are not!) but you will need to book your place on Eventbrite.
LBV Burns Night 2020

£45* a head for LBV members and their guests (£60* per head for others) for a four course traditional Burns supper, with Scottish Piper and all the trimmings!
Science, Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Leicester Business Festival

Leicester Business Voice (LBV) and the University of Leicester are pleased to host another joint event during the Leicester Business Festival. This year we are putting a spotlight on Science and Innovation based entrepreneurship.
Successful Leicestershire-based entrepreneurs will provide insights into how they have/are utilising science and innovation to inform their business plan, secure grant funding, gain higher profiles and competitive advantage to grow their business.
Delegates will hear from at least two successful Leicestershire businesses about the value they place on science and innovation, and why. Plus, they will gain an overview on some of the innovation support available for businesses.
The presentations are aimed at entrepreneurs, business owners (pre start-up, early sage and established) and professionals (accountants, solicitors, bank managers…)
Guests will benefit from targeted networking with LBV members and learn how to access science and innovation support.

September meetup – State of the Economy: an Overview from the Bank of England
When: 17th September, 2019, 12pm-2pm
Where: University of Leicester's Innovation Hub
Rosie will give an overview of the UK economy from the Bank of England’s perspective, especially pertinent in these uncertain times, providing LBV members and guests a chance to ask questions, seek her views on the economy and gain new insights on how we might prepare and plan for the coming year.
The State of the Economy: an Overview from the Bank of England provides a great opportunity for LBV members and guests to benefit from the latest information and insights on business optimism, uncertainty, investment levels.
The same intelligence the Bank of England uses to understand and monitor the state of the UK economy and to set interest rates.
By attending this event, which is free for LBV members, guests will gain targeted networking with other members including professionals, universities and entrepreneurial successful businesses. They will pick up new information and useful insights from Rosie Smith.
