On 18th March 2018, LBV's Vice Chair, Robin Pointon, appeared on the East Midlands Sunday Politics Show to discuss the importance of amplifying Leicestershire's voice.

The content of the short interview was the March budget statement.  The point being made was Leicestershire and the East Midlands needs to raise its game and that if we’re going to secure future public investment we must amplify our voice. We cannot have decisions like the non-electrification of the Midland Main Line being repeated. At LBV we’ll continue to fight our corner for our voice to be heard in the right places. The more that businesses can support, the louder our voice.
