Graduate Internship Programme 2026

29 April 2026

For those who are registered and are looking to offer opportunities to employ people and support business plans, the University’s Graduate Internship Programme is open for employers to put forward internship roles.

This programme provides the opportunity for businesses from any sector in the UK, to recruit recent University of Leicester graduates onto internships that are fully salary funded by the University of Leicester for 6 weeks, 25 hours per week.

Graduates will be paid at National Living Wage for 150 hours from Monday 17th of August through to Friday 25th of September. Internships can be hosted in-house, remotely or via a hybrid model, depending on the needs of your business.

Internship job specifications are set by yourself as the employer and will relate to your organisations’ needs. This will provide your organisation with a genuine benefit from having an intern, whilst boosting the next generation of graduates’ employability.  Organisations can create a range of internships across a vast array of disciplines, with a focus on providing a high-quality experience, adding value to both the graduate and your organisation.

In order to make an initial application for a Graduate Intern, please complete the two forms:

Once you have completed these forms, please send through to [email protected] for the team to review.
