LBV Devolution Deal Event

Join Leicestershire Business Voice and East Midlands Chamber for a special event exploring the region’s progress towards a Devolution Deal.

Leicestershire Business Voice invites members and stakeholders to a special guest speaker and industry panel event, held at MIRA Tech Park from 12-2pm on 10 September 2025.

At the event, which is held in collaboration with East Midlands Chamber, we will explore the evolving plans for a devolution deal for Leicester and Leicestershire, and the impact on the local business community.

The session will feature key figures speakers:

  • Sir Peter Soulsby, City Mayor of Leicester
  • Dan Harrison, Leader of Leicestershire County Council
  • Pip Allnatt, Leader of Melton Borough Council and speaking on behalf of the Leaders of the Leicestershire District and Borough Councils

Panellists leading the discussions and negotiations are:

  • George Oliver (Moderator) – 1284 Comms, LBV member, East Midlands Chamber board member
  • Richard Osborn – Excello Law, Chair of Leicester Business Festival, Director of Team Leicester
  • Iain McKenzie – COO, Mattioli Woods, large corporate/finance, major city employer
  • Kevin Harris – Independent consultant, ex-Chair of LLEP and East Midlands Chamber
  • Angela Orton – Managing Director, Structural Adhesives, King’s Award winner (Innovation), SME champion
  • Sarah Windrum – Cluster Lead, MIRA, representing the Enterprise Zones
