Join us for LBV’s upcoming event from 12-2pm on Thursday 17 November 2026, kindly hosted by LBV member, Nelsons, where Paul Mount, Agent for the East Midlands from the Bank of England, will provide an update on the UK economy.

Paul is an experienced economist and financial analyst whose career has spanned the civil service, the National Health Service, management consultancy and investment banking. Paul has been with the Bank since 2019 and prior to being appointed Agent for the East Midlands, was Deputy Agent in Yorkshire.

As we move through 2026, the UK economy continues to navigate a changing and uncertain economic landscape. Paul will discuss the Bank of England’s outlook for the next 2–3 years and what this could mean for monetary policy, covering key themes including economic growth, employment, inflation and interest rates, with an opportunity for questions from attendees.
