Leicestershire Business Voice (LBV) members and guests came together on Thursday 26 February 2026 for an inspiring and engaging ‘Sporting Stories’ networking event.

Held in Leicestershire County Cricket Club’s newly refurbished Charles Palmer Suite, attendees at the after-work social event heard about the successes, challenges and business behind the local professional sporting clubs. High profile guest speakers included Emma White, CEO of Leicestershire County Cricket Club; Kevin Routledge, Chairman of Leicester Riders; and Andrea Pinchen, CEO of Leicester Tigers.

A panel session offered valuable insight into the leadership and strategy driving these major sporting organisations. Together, the speakers shared their experiences of leadership, the realities of operating in an ever-growing and competitive industry, and the importance of strong community engagement.

Robin Pointon, Director of LBV, added: “It was a fantastic evening, seeing everyone come together to discuss the local sporting world and the business that drives it. The guest speakers were open and honest, giving our attendees a real glimpse behind the work of each organisation. The turnout was excellent and it’s always rewarding to see members and guests engaging so positively at our events.”
