Street Lifestyle Event for Business
21 May 2019
LE-One City Centre Management are holding a workshop where the issue of street lifestyles in the city centre will be addressed.
Thursday 6 June 2019, Highcross Management Suite, 3rd Floor, Rooftop Parking, 2-4pm
LE-One City Centre Management will be hosting a workshop where the issue of street lifestyles in the city centre will be addressed. It will take place in the Highcross Management Suite on Thursday 6 June, from 2pm to 4pm.
Like other cities across the UK, Leicester faces challenges in relation to rough sleeping, drug and alcohol abuse and anti-social behaviour in the city centre. The workshop will provide more information about the support services available to people with street lifestyles as well as an opportunity to discuss how local businesses can work with these services.
The city council and its partners including Leicestershire Police are working closely together to tackle this issue, but there is more to be done and businesses could play an invaluable role in this. We would like to explore ways in which your organisation could help to make a real difference.
Many people from across the City have already committed to supporting Leicester’s Homelessness Charter which was launched last year. We also know that many of those with street lifestyles in the city are not homeless, but for some, living on the streets has become their way of life and we need to find new ways to address this.
If you are not able to attend for the full two hours, then please just come along for as long as you can and we will be happy to follow up with you afterwards.
You can register for this event through Eventbrite.
