LBV is hosting an introduction to the new ‘Heart of Leicester’ plan from City Mayor, Sir Peter Soulsby on 5 June 2024.

The new ‘Heart of Leicester’ plan is being officially launched at UKREiiF, the UK’s real estate investment and infrastructure forum in Leeds from 21-23 May 2024, so this will be the first opportunity for a local audience to hear about the plan.

The future of our city centre is fundamental to the fortunes of the city as a whole. It is the centre for work and shopping, the hub for culture, leisure, sport and education, and the provider of essential services to everyone in Leicester. The Heart of Leicester is a 10 Year Plan to help ensure that the city centre remains the beating heart of Leicester for generations to come.

In addition to hearing from the City Mayor, there will be input from Phoebe Dawson, current Chief Executive at the Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership (LLEP). Phoebe will update on the package of business support available by Business Gateway Growth Hub and the role of the business voice going forward as the LEP and its functions transitions into local authorities.

Light lunch refreshments will be provided. The event is free to LBV members and non-members can book at a cost of £15 (+ vat and Eventbrite fee), per person.
