As we emerge from the pandemic, this event will focus on the future for Leicester, using latest research from Centre for Cities: Cities Outlook 2022. How can we as a city thrive in the future?

Join us from 12-2pm on Friday 25 February 2022 in-person at Nelsons for the latest LBV monthly event.

The Cities Outlook 2022 report looks in-depth at the state of UK high streets to get a sense of the short-term impact of the pandemic on Britain’s town and city centres and the long-term consequences and implications this has for the Government’s levelling up agenda. (more…)

The Together for Our Planet digital campaign toolkit with a range of communications assets (e.g. social media & newsletter templates, graphics etc)

Business Climate Leaders Hub with UK-tailored resources (included sector-specific guidance for 6 pilot sectors: agriculture, construction, hospitality, retail, manufacture and tech)

SME Climate Commitment where businesses with up to 500 employees can join the UN’s global Race to Zero campaign

Key support for small businesses at national* level currently includes:
Cycle to work scheme
Workplace charging scheme (vouchers covering up to 75% of purchase & installation costs of chargepoints)
Plug-in Charging Grant Scheme (grants towards the cost of low-emission vehicles)
*Businesses may also be able to access support via their local Growth Hubs, who they can get in touch with to find out more

BEIS have recently developed a ‘train the trainer’ package of resources, piloted with Growth Hubs. Contact Sam Lux for access to these resources to help engage businesses on net zero (slide deck, engagement tracker, case study selection, FAQs, net zero glossary etc).
