The CrowdFundLeicester initiative has been about connecting ideas, people and communities that will make a difference to the quality of life in the city.
Leicester City Council’s CrowdFundLeicester initiative was launched around 12 months ago to use the power and potential of crowdfunding to generate fantastic ideas for civic spaces in Leicester. So far, there have been some really exciting, successful projects with many more on their way. You can see more information on the projects at www.spacehive.com/movement/crowdfundleicester
The City Council believes that the initiative has the power to renew a collective commitment to transforming the city into a great place to live, work, study and visit. However, to really make crowdfunding reach its full potential, they need local businesses, employers and investors to take up the role of partners in this exciting opportunity to help change Leicester for the better. This could be in the role of a supporter, promoter or even a creator.
LBV members are invited to an event at City Hall at 5.30pm on 2 August where there will be an opportunity to meet some of the project creators and hear about their crowdfunding experiences. Please RSVP to [email protected] if you would like to here more about how you can get involved.
